Capital Four, a leading independent global credit asset management boutique, today announced the hiring of four additional team members in New York further strengthening the US investment capabilities. The four new hires follow the three hires announced in July and brings the US team to a total of eight experienced professionals led by Jim Wiant, CEO, Partner and Portfolio Manager of Capital Four US. Capital Four’s new US team members each have significant industry experience averaging more than 15 years. 

Austin Nelson, Anthony Han and Adam Wueger will join the US Fundamental Credit Research team responsible for specific US sector coverage while Brian Walsh will be heading up the US Business Development and Client Relations team.

We now have a very capable US based leverage finance team with local operations and client functions and can tap into the existing infrastructure and resources of Capital Four’s well-established $18bn credit platform.”

Austin brings more than 12 years of research experience in the industry as a research analyst. Before joining Capital Four, Austin was most recently a Senior High Yield Credit Analyst at AIG Asset Management focusing on Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Paper and Packaging industries. At Capital Four, Austin will primarily be covering the Healthcare sector. 

Anthony brings more than 11 years of industry experience and joins Capital Four from Benefit Street Partners where he was a fundamental high yield and loan sector analyst focusing on chemicals, paper/packaging, building products, and industrial verticals. Prior to this, he covered high yield and investment grade credit at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. At Capital Four, Anthony will primarily be covering the Industrials sector. 

Adam joins from Angelo, Gordon & Co. where he covered the Technology & Software sector across performing and distressed credits. He has previously held similar roles at HPS Investment Partners and Angel Island Capital Management and has more than 11 years of industry experience. At Capital Four, Adam will primarily be covering the Technology sector. 

Brian Walsh will be responsible for US Business Development and Client Relations and has more than 25 years of experience within credit, hedge funds and alternatives servicing clients and consultants and raising capital with US institutional investors. He joins from Avenue Capital Group and previously held senior roles at K2 Advisors and Commonfund Asset Management among others. 

The US investment team currently manages a portion of Capital Four’s global mandates and will be managing US CLOs and High Yield strategies among other mandates.
